Rabbi Davidovitch is uniquely gifted in many areas, particularly in practical craftsmanship and building. An expert in mikvaos, he has played a role in the design and construction of many mikvaos in Bet Shemesh. He is also an experienced sofer and a practical rov in numerous areas, all while carrying himself with humility and genuine care for every individual. For over 15 years, he has run a matzah bakery for family and close friends out of the YLTY premises.
During the final weeks of the zman, as the war began with near constant sirens and repeated entries into the mamad, the hanhala of YLTY remained committed to maintaining a positive and consistent environment for the bochurim. As part of this effort, Rabbi Davidovitch was invited to establish the matzah bakery earlier than usual within the Yeshiva, giving the bochurim and staff the opportunity to bake their own matzos.
Together with members of the staff and their families, and welcoming members of the wider RBS community, everyone joined in singing niggunim and proclaiming “לשם מצות מצה” as they pounded, kneaded, and rolled the dough into the most mehudar matzos. B"H, it was a powerful and uplifting way to conclude the zman, creating and celebrating emuna even under challenging circumstances, and bringing the spirit of Pesach to life in a deeply tangible way.
