YLTY was honored to host Elisha Pearl, author of Make Peace: A Strategic Guide for Achieving Lasting Peace In Israel, for an inspiring evening with our bochurim in Beit Shemesh.

Elisha shared the Rebbe’s powerful and clear perspective on Eretz Yisroel, that true peace comes not from retreat or weakness, but from strength, moral clarity, and unwavering commitment to Torah and the Land of Israel. For bochurim spending this formative year living and learning in Beit Shemesh, these ideas were not theoretical. They are experiencing the reality of Eretz Yisroel every day, and Elisha’s words helped them see their year here through the Rebbe’s eyes.
After the talk, Elisha Farbrenged late into the night with the bochurim, discussing the Rebbe’s vision, Jewish identity, and what it means to stand strong in today’s world. The atmosphere was open, deep, and uplifting, giving the bochurim space to connect these ideas to their own growth and avodas Hashem. Many bochurim felt this talk addressed very relevant questions they had; about the army, living and settling in Yehuda and Shomron and many more.
We are grateful to Elisha Pearl for bringing his warmth, insight, and clarity to YLTY. His visit added a powerful layer of meaning and inspiration to our bochurim’s years in Beit Shemesh.
