As Israel continues to endure the challenges of an ongoing war, the Tiferes Yisroel Foundation has significantly expanded its humanitarian response—quadrupling the number of hot meals delivered to families whose husbands and fathers are serving extended reserve duty.

On Tuesday alone, the foundation delivered 90 fresh meals to the families in the settlement of Tekoa, part of a growing network of communities being supported through this initiative.

The food distribution is part of the Foundation’s Lighthouse Project, which offers material and spiritual aid to those most affected by the war.

One mother, Ann Blinder, whose husband has already served over 300 days of reserve duty, shared her emotional reaction to receiving the meals: "Thank you for the wonderful food for reserve duty families. Beyond the fantastic taste, I truly feel that someone is 'getting under the stretcher' with me. This wasn’t just a treat—it was real tangible help. It gave me back some time, something I’ve barely had over the last two years.

My husband has already served close to 300 days, with another 110 ahead of him. We’ve just started our sixth round of reserve duty. He’s far from home, and honestly, I’m exhausted. So thank you for this moment of relief and support—it means everything to me."

With reservists called up for unprecedented lengths of time, the burdens on their families continue to mount. The amazing students of YLTY, based in Ramat Beit Shemesh, are stepping up in a tangible way to remind these families that they are not alone.
