Yeshivas Lubavitch Tiferes Yisroel (YLTY) in Ramat Beit Shemesh continues to strengthen its dynamic team with the exciting addition of Rabbi Zalman Torenheim—a highly respected talmid chochom renowned for his clarity in learning and deep dedication to talmidim.
Rabbi Torenheim brings a wealth of Torah knowledge and experience, having learned in some of the most prestigious yeshivos in the world, including the famed Brisk Yeshiva. Over the years, he has served as a maggid shiur in several respected institutions and has earned a reputation for his insightful, structured approach to learning.
His teaching experience includes delivering in-depth Gemara shiurim and guiding advanced Semicha programs across various mosdos, including in Kfar Chabad. His ability to empower each talmid to feel personally connected and invested in the journey of learning has earned him a loyal following wherever he has taught.
“My goal is to really get the talmidim into the sugyos,” shared Rabbi Torenheim, “so they feel like they’re part of the learning—not just watching it happen.”
Rabbi Chaim Moss, Menahel of YLTY, commented, “Rabbi Torenheim is a real gem. He has a Brisker clarity—very structured in both his learning and teaching—and at the same time, he’s an authentic Chossid with a special chassidishe warmth and charisma. I see how he connects with bochurim, and it really fits with the vision we are working to realize at YLTY. We are thrilled to have him on board.”
Now entering its fourth year with over 50 bochurim, YLTY is rapidly gaining recognition as a sought-after yeshiva for serious talmidim seeking a powerful synthesis of Nigleh and Chassidus within a warm, growth-oriented environment. The addition of Rabbi Torenheim marks another bold step in advancing that mission.
With his arrival, YLTY looks forward to deepening its Torah learning culture and offering bochurim even greater opportunities for personal guidance and growth.
